First we’d like to offer you a warm welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit Irishfilmmakers.com.

This site was established as a dedicated place where Irish filmmaking talent can be promoted, encouraged and celebrated.

There are a number of things we would hope to accomplish with this site, not limited to, but including:

The website breaks down into a number of different sections, and we hope you’ll take a moment to explore the site. But to briefly explain a few of the sections on here –

The Featured sections on this site were created to give a virtual platform to talented people who usually wouldn’t be able to take center stage on a website.

So for example, The Featured Artist page will be dedicated to highlighting the profile of individuals. We’ll conduct a short interview, get to know you briefly, talk about your experience and aspirations. The featured profile will also contain any resume you have, showreel, links to websites, plus your contact details; so anyone interested in working with you can get in touch. Profiles will remain on the site for future reference, and your resume can be updated.

The Featured Work page will work similar to the Featured Artist page. It will be dedicated to showing off pieces of finished work. This can be anything from a short, to a documentry and everything in between. If you’d like to know more on the requirements for submitting your work click here.

In the Irish Talent section, we will be highlighting the extraordinary talent of established Irish Actors, Directors, Screenwriters and so forth.

The Made in Ireland section will reflect back on films that have been made in Ireland, both the big and small.

We’re always interested in people contributing to the site, whether it’s an article or advice for fellow filmmakers. [Click here to read how you can contribute]

We hope you enjoy your experience on this site. There are a number of things we have planned over the coming months and we’d encourage you to return frequently since changes and updates are made on a regular basis.

As this is a new site, any comments or suggestions are welcome.
