World Actors Forum
The first World Actors Forum took place recently in Dublin (15th -16-th June). The two day event hosted at the prestigious Gate Theatre was established by Michael Colgan as “a unique celebration of the actor by the actor to acknowledge their role on stage, on screen and in the community” Speaking to The Herald Colgan said “It’s about time there was an actors’ forum. There are conferences for every profession in the world – even proctologists have conferences so I thought it was time to set up a World Actors’ Forum.”
In attendance were some big names from the industry including Brendan Gleeson, Jim Sheridan, John Boorman, Penelope Wilton, Jeremy Irons, Charles Dance, Kirsten Sheridan and Irish born Michael Gambon.
